Call to Artists

The Foyer Gallery of Art at the Emerson Center in the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Vero Beach, 1590 27th Avenue is seeking  2-dimensional artists of all mediums, including photography, to exhibit their original artwork for a period of two months during the 2018/2019 Season. We are currently booked through September, 2019.

Preferred themes are:  Natural, Environmental, Nautical, Local, Celebrating Vero Beach’s Centennial Anniversary in 2019, Modern and Abstract.  

**We are accepting applications for the March/April "Creatures Featured" group exhibit.  Send e-mail with three images and the subject line "Creatures Featured" to DawnOrre@gmail.com

LastName_FirstName_Title_Medium_Size_Price

ie: Jones_Robert_Self Portrait_Oil_24x18_$400.jpg (for size use Height x Width)

For solo exhibits: Send 5 images of your artwork with title, medium & dimensions to be exhibited to: 

Dawn Orre: dawnorre@gmail.com along with your contact information,  a short bio, proposed exhibit title, and artist's statement of the work to be shown.

ABOUT THE SPACE

Two main gallery walls in the foyer (north and south walls) and one gallery wall to the left of the rear doors (west wall) may accommodate 20 to 25 medium size paintings. 

East Wall - 24 feet

The Emerson Center Lobby - 12 to 15 feet also has space for 3 to 5 larger works of art (over 36" height & width)

About

What we do:

  • The Gallery Display Organizer will hang your exhibit.
  • We will schedule a "Meet the Artist" night.
  • We will send press releases to local media a few weeks prior to your show & a few weeks prior to "Meet the Artist" night.

What the artist does:

  • The artist is responsible for refreshments at "Meet the Artist" night.
  • The artist will complete a "Contract & Hold Harmless Agreement" when the artwork is delivered for hanging.
  • The artist will provide title cards for each work of art and a listing of the works with prices.  Download the template (microsoft word doc) to be used with Avery #5163 2"x4" shipping labels.  Please make two copies - one for the gallery director and one to affix to the back of your artwork.
  • All works must be wired for hanging, framed,  or have painted edges on deep (appx 1 1/2") gallery-wrapped canvas.
  • Provide 3 to 4 high resolution images of the artwork for the Foyer Gallery to use with press releases.
